Remington MPD Introduces New Military Rifle Chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum – the Model M24A3
 

Madison, NC – Remington Military Products Division (MPD) continues to work diligently to provide our nation’s military forces with highly effective firearm tools for use in the defense of our nation.  New for 2006 is the Model M24A3 Sniper Weapons System (SWS) – a long range version of the widely used Model M24 Sniper Weapons System which has been the standard for the US Army since 1988.

Features of the newly introduced Model M24A3 SWS include a detachable five-round box magazine; choice of a H-S Precision Pro-Series 2000 stock assembly or Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) which both feature adjustable length of pull (LOP) and adjustable cheek rest; the Modular Accessory Rail System (MARS); Leupold® Mark 4® 8.5-25x50mm M1 Tactical Scope; and OPS INC 12^th Model 338 LM muzzle break and sound suppressor.  Unique to this Remington bolt action is an external extractor system which ensures reliable, consistent feeding and extraction of the powerful 338 Lapua Magnum cartridge.

The Model M24A3 SWS is based upon the combat proven M24 Sniper Weapons System in use today by the US Army in the Global War On Terrorism and is widely considered as the standard by which other sniper rifles are judged.
